The Author

Cynthia P. Stitt is an inspirational author, poet, song-writer, and stage-play writer. She is a five and a half year military veteran who reached the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, and has been preaching the Gospel since May of 2001 and was ordained in July 2006. She is married to Jeff Stitt, she has two sons Joshua and Jalen and played an active role in caring for her Goddaughter Cearra Crawford Friday.

She has a passion for Public Health and willingly serves the people in her community. She faithfully volunteers in the Highland Community at the Erwin Center where she works with a group of young men and women referred to as “My Sistahs and My Brothers”.

Cynthia P. Stitt graduated from Hunter Huss High School and then later graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master’s Degree in Health Administration. She completed seminary classes at the Gaston Baptist Association before obtaining her license to preach the gospel.

Special Projects Include:

Writing informative and educational skits for non-profit organizations.
Authoring a CD project titled “Who I Am, Is Who I Am”, which is described as poetry for the soul;
Writing a youth gospel stage play titled “Armed and Dangerous”
Writing the sound track for the play “A Falling Angel”
Authoring the book “No Longer The Victim, Because I Choose To Live”

Authoring the book “Highland My Neighborhood, Not The Hood”
Writing a gospel stage play “Against All Odds, I Made It”

Cynthia believes in perseverance and encourages others through her writing. She lives by the inspiring scripture “I can do all things through Christ who give me strength” Philippians 4:13.
